This was my first SUP board and I couldn't be happier with it. Due to the width, volume, and shape, this board is very stable and great for beginners, even if you are well over 200 pounds. I weigh 235 and put my 40 pound kid or 60 pound dog on the front with no problem. I think even a 300 pound guy would be happy with this board. It does just fine on flat water but has the right shape and just enough nose rocker to be GREAT in small surf, even for a beginner. I always let friends and first-timers use this board and they are always excited to get their own bamboozle. Due to the size of the board, the volume and the construction, it's a bit heavy and hard to load/unload from your rack. It's also a handful to carry long distances but this is a GREAT board.
